Does anyone know anything about BYU and UVSC track teams?

So it turns out my little brother is kind of a track star. He ran on the Guatemalan youth national team and was the champion for Central America in the 3k, he’s 16 now and his fastest time for the 3k is 8:45, he also runs the 5k but it’s not his best event his best time is 15:35. That seems really fast to me, Rachel you should find out what the times are for UVSC, and BYU track members who run the 3k, I’m just curious.

So on March 30, 2007, the best 3000 meter run for BYU was exactly 8:45.01. So way to go your little brother! The record that has been set for BYU men's was set in 1977 at 8:21.6.
And on April 13, 2007, the best for the 5000 meter run was 13:25.53. So he's getting there... The record was set in 1984 at 13:32.52. But i'm guessing that the record has been beat because that time is slower than the one that was run this year...

Um yeah I'd say a 5k time of 15:35 is outstanding! My fastest in cross country was I think 19:00 or thereabouts. So he's a speed demon (not that I was incredibly fast or anything)!
